Abram R. Katz: K-12 Teaching Consulting & Partnerships
Some of Abram Katz's most noteworthy social, civic and community engagement projects can be viewed on the Heartisan Foundation website, which highlights a diverse set of youth empowerment projects and K-12 school-community programs in partnership with higher education institutions, local initiatives and grassroots organizations. Katz's expressive arts programs and teaching internships – in partnership with Southern Oregon University and the Oregon Writing Project – have be featured on JPR, KSKQ, and local publications such as Mail Tribune, Ashland Daily Tidings, Southern Oregon Music Festival, the Rogue Messenger, and more. Katz is a member of Art Council of Santa Cruz County's Arts Education Committee and consults non-profit organizations such as Chapter 510 and Ever Forward in Oakland, CA. on broad-scale youth-empowerment curricula and place-based projects. Katz is a former member of Ashland's MLK Celebration Planning Committee and volunteers however he can to bring resources and dignity to underserved communities worldwide. ​​​
